Dear Friends,

Our state, as it always has been, is on a remarkable journey. Our population is growing, and the innovation and energy of Georgians continues to drive us and make this such a special place to live, work and play.

Yet for all of our promise and all of our successes, somewhere along this journey, I fear that we have lost our way. We have usurped the rights of our local communities. We have cut back on education rather than fully investing our resources into it. We have talked about providing fair and equitable tax reform, but not taken mature action on it.

I am running for State House 156 because it's time for action on these issues which are so important to everyday Georgians from all walks of life, and it's time to deliver common sense governance to Atlanta.

We can bring forward positive change throughout Georgia if we work to end the petty infighting and partisan bickering that has dominated our political climate for too long. We can restore responsible and responsive leadership that respects our local communities, supports our public education system, promotes economic opportunity and growth to all corners of our state, protects and preserves our natural resources and works to find common sense solutions to our challenges.

This campaign will be a long journey of its own, and I am excited about meeting with you, hearing your concerns and sharing my vision for this state. Please look around my web site for some of my more detailed thoughts on the challenges facing us today, as well as ways to be a part of our campaign by volunteering, contributing, hosting an event or by simply dropping me a note of what's on your mind.
